Welcome to Beaufort Class - we are a mixed Reception and Year One class

Our teacher is Miss Hall.

We have Teaching Assistant support from Mrs North and Mr Cook (student).

We are so lucky to have a large spacious classroom and access to a wonderful school grounds to continue our learning in too! Lots of our learning in Reception and Year 1 takes place outdoors. In Reception we are learning from the EYFS and in Year One from the National Curriculum.

Our learning is topic based, and you can view our curriculum map under the curriculum tab for an overview of our learning for the year. We think our topics are really exciting and give us lots of opportunities to develop all our skills.

How you can help at home

Children MUST complete daily reading, practice words and show this in the reading record.

Remember, while your child has a set reading book change day we are happy to change books as often as required, put it in your class box in the morning! Thank you very much for your continued support.

This week...

We have been enjoying a visit to the Fire Station, practicing for our Christmas Performances and designing a new 'Santa's Worksop' role play area. It may be nearly the end of term but the learning never stops in Beaufort class!

Visit to Skegness Fire Station

On Tuesday 4th December, we had an amazing visit to the fire station to support our topic learning about fire safety and the Great Fire of London. We had built our own Tudor houses, and Firemen Dan, Simon, Ryan and Richard helped us by setting up our own fire and putting it out safely. What an amazing day!
